Welcome to Blue's Improver Surf Lesson where we look to teach you the skills you need to surf your first small unbroken waves!

Take Your Surfing Beyond The White Water

Our Improver Group Surf Lesson is designed for for anyone 11 years old+ who has surfed multiple times, can stand on 8/10 white waves, and is comfortable paddling their board independently in deep water.

Depending on conditions you might delve into new advanced surfing skills such as controlling your board, paddling out back, wave selection, turning, refining your pop-up technique, surfing unbroken small waves and more.

We keep our Improver Surf Lessons super small with only 5 students per instructor (compared to 8 at other schools), so you'll get more 1-on-1 time with them.

*Please note we need a minimum of two people booked for a group lesson to go ahead

How to book:

Select the lesson type, number of participants and lessons you'd like.
Select the date and time of the first class you'd like to take part in.
Fill in all participant's details - you'll need their full name, email, mobile, age and any medical conditions.
Complete payment and login to your auto-generated client portal anytime to book any other lessons at a date and time that suits you!

What to Expect

Arrival - 30 Minutes BEFORE Lesson Starts:

Arrive and check-in | Change into your wetsuits | Meet your classmates | Meet your instructor and grab your boards | Head to the beach.

The Beach - First 30 Minutes:

Beach-based safety briefing | Assessing conditions and outlining the lesson's focus | Exercise science based warm-up | Assess the group's pop-up | Practice specific techniques.

The Ocean - Final 90 Minutes:

Catching as many waves as you can.

Finish - Back at Blue Surf:
